Introduction to the magazine

THE AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND WINDMILL JOURNAL has three main objectives :
  1. To be a source of information on the history of the windmill in Australia and New Zealand.
  2. To act as a platform to promote people's interest in windmill history.
  3. To promote the idea of a non-profit, physical collection point for data on the history and the technology of the windmill in Australia and New Zealand.
FEEDBACK
We are looking for article contributions and feedback on the published magazine articles. Even though the collection has been going for 20 years, many blank spots still exist about the major manufacturers, and the names of many small producers are still being discovered. We welcome contributions from anyone, however insignificant they might seem.
OLD PHOTOGRAPHS
The editors intend to use period windmill photographs on the covers of all issues. Reader's copies of any such photographs would be welcome additions to the collection.
DATABASE ACCESS
Larger requests for copies are on a cost recovery basis to cover photocopying and postage. Small requests. e.g. diagrams & digital images can usually be answered via email.
ADVERTISING
The acceptance of advertising is at the discretion of the editors. Generally acceptance is restricted to requests for, and offers of parts. Information on some services such as tinsmithing and bearing pouring may also be conditionally included.
